What is the North Texas PTC/User Group?

The North Texas PTC/User Group is a Regional User Group (RUG) of PTC/User, the independent voice of PTC users worldwide.

Leadership

The North Texas PTC/User Group is managed and run by a Board of Directors consisting of volunteers from companies in the North Texas area using Pro/ENGINEER.

Mission

Help members become more effective users of PTC products through education, the exchange of information, and the promotion of standard methodologies.

Membership

Any person employed by a company that owns one or more licenses of a PTC product is eligible to become a member of the North Texas PTC/User Group.
Self employed individuals who own one or more licenses of a PTC product are also eligible.
Unemployed users wanting to keep up with what's happening in the world of Pro/ENGINEER®.
History

The North Texas PTC/User was founded in August 1993 by Boyd Davis and Ed Stevenson, Senior Designers at the time at Texas Instruments Defense Systems and Electronics Group. Boyd was the group's first President and Ed the Vice President. Other Board members responsible for formation of the group were Tracy Miliff, Dwight Saffell, and Bruce VanLokeren. Since it's formation, the group has held many meetings including all day conferences at Southern Methodist University in 1995 and the Grapevine Convention Center in 1996. The group has also published several newsletters.

Meetings

We attempt to hold quarterly meetings. Our meetings are normally half-day meetings primarily consisting of user presentations. Membership Types

Until further notice, dues will not be required to participate in the North Texas PTC/User Group
However, in the past the following were our requirements, and should dues become required again they most likely will follow the same structure.
There are three types of memberships, with accompanying yearly dues structures, for the North Texas PTC/User Group. All members can attend all meetings and functions at no cost.

    - Individual membership of $25
    - Floating corporate membership where a coompany pays for a block of memberships. This will limit the maximum nuber of users who may attend a meeting to the number in the block. The sponsor has control over who attends and may rotate users. The fee is $25 per person.
    - Corporate membership which allows a coomppany to send an unlimited number of users to attend meetings. The fee is $250 for companies less than 50 PTC seats and $500 for companies with more than 50 licenses.
