What it is? The North Texas Pro/User Network. Like the PTC/USER Network exploder. It will offer a place to post jobs, share job and job fair information, and archive the list for future reference.
How can the NTPUN help you? Well, we aren't making any promises that we can help you, but we are offering a place where you can help each other.
Why did we start the NTPUN group? Our policies have been, and still are, that we are not here to help members leave one job for another. However, with the drastic change in the local job market we felt the need to do something in some small way to help our growing list of unemployed members.
Who can sign up? Any unemployed member of the North Texas Pro/Engineer User community may join. (it is not required you be a member of the North Texas Pro/Engineer User Group).
Spread the Word: It is up to you to help spread the word to the local
head hunters and HR departments, send their email address to ntpug@excite.com and an email will be sent to them requesting them to join (We will not include the requesters name, unless you request us too.)
What else will we offer? http://network.ntpug.org will offer to post your resume online. Send your resume to ntpug@excite.com in word doc format, your resume will be converted to html and posted on our website @ http://yourname.ntpug.org/ (meta data will also be added using key information from your resume).
If you don't have an email address suitable for use for submitting resumes, IE precious@excite.com (and no, I don't know if this address is real, I made it up). We can create you a redirect email yourname@ntpug.org. (many hr departments filter out hotmail, excite, yahoo, and emails that don't contain the senders name to avoid spam and porn). There is one small problem with this, Our forwarding service hasn't been very reliable lately. You can also try bigfoot.com or do a search for Email Forwarding services.
There will also be regularly scheduled Network Meetings.
NTPUN rules: We expect you to be respectful of other members.
No profanity may be used what-so-ever. Anyone slamming
another member, or using profanity will be banned from
the group. It's recommended you use spell check, before
posting. Remember that people who will be looking to
hire you, or help find you a job will hopefully be
reading, and first impressions count.
If you find a job or relocate, Please unsubscribe
from the list and contact us to remove your resume.
